Keen to know more about who we are?
Loving Levin since 1950
A Levin congregation was planted out of Palmerston North Central Baptist in February 1950. The fashion might have changed a bit since then, but the heart to love and serve God and love and serve the community hasn't. Nearly 75 years later God faithfully continues his work in and through his people at Levin Baptist Church.
What can you expect when you come along to Levin Baptist?
We'd love to meet you and help you to feel at home.
We're a truly intergenerational community, with babies and very young children all the way through to members in their 90s! The songs we sing together reflect this. With a mix of new songs and updated classic hymns.
We love God's Word and consider it to be a vital part of our life together. We read from it, pray from it, and hear it taught each week. Typically we work our way through books of the Bible one at a time.
We love Levin and long to see the difference that the good news about Jesus can make here.
What's on for kids?
We believe there is a place for everyone to share their gifts and serve the church, so our children and young people serve alongside adults in different ministries.
You'll notice children and young people are involved in reading the Bible, playing and singing in our music team, serving and preparing morning tea, welcoming guests, audio visuals and more.
During the school term we run Kids Church during part of our service. One group for pre-schoolers, and one group for 5-13 year olds. We take the safety of tamariki very seriously and vet our volunteers. You can view our Child Protection Policy here.
We have a quiet space for caregivers to be with under-fives, and a collection of tables stocked with colouring and activities so families can sit together and manage different needs during the service.
During the week you can connect with us as part of Levin Baptist Kindergarten, Youth Group, and Adventure Club.
